I know this may sound strange but 14 years ago I was surprised to learn I needed reading glasses. I had enjoyed 20/20 vision my entire life. While in my early 40’s I had not yet realized my vision was slowing getting worse. One day while looking up a phone number in the white pages, I remember saying to my wife how small the print was and asking why the phone company was making the letters and numbers so small. She laughed and said I should get my eyes examined because the print was the same as it had always been.

I made an appointment with an ophthalmologist and discovered that I did indeed need reading glasses. The doctor said just to get # 1 drug store readers and come back next year for another exam. That was 14 years ago and every year or two I would go in for another eye exam and over the years my eye doctor would tell me to go to the next higher strength of over the counter reading glasses. My vision eventually led me to the #200 strength readers and this is where my story gets interesting.

My wife and I had been on a quest to find healthy water and over the years we had tried several different drinking water systems that we were told to be very healthy water. The first was a reverse osmosis system and it turned out to be anything but healthy. Reverse osmosis actually stripped all the minerals out of the water and we quickly learned it was not doing us any good. We were then told about the virtues of distilled water and we went out and purchased an expensive commercial distiller. Distilled water also stripped all the minerals out of the water and again, no healthy water. We were then sold on purchasing a Vitalizer Plus machine that would reintroduce minerals to the distilled water through the use of a mineral cube. The Vitalizer Plus did put minerals back in the water, but we later learned it also made the water acidic, again no healthy water. At about the time we were about to give up, we went to a seminar where we learned about special drops to add to the water and by now you probably quessed it. We bought the drops and again, no healthy water. After thousands of dollars wasted and literally down the drain, I gave up on the idea of water that would provide the many health benefits that I knew good water should provide. It is unfortunate that most tap waters, well waters, bottled waters, etc are not fit to drink.

In August 2008, a friend of mine from Florida called me about what he described as healthy water and I really did not want to hear it. I explained that I had already spent a small fortune on water systems and had given up. He convinced me to let him come and show me through a few scientific demonstrations and he could prove the quality of the water. This I had to see. He did come to my home and brought with him a water system that he hooked up to my kitchen faucet. My wife and I were getting ready for church and when she went to feed our two poodle puppies, she discovered we were out of puppy food. Not wanting to change their diet, this presented a problem, because I didn’t know where I would find their brand of puppy food on Sunday morning. I grabbed the phone book and looked up PetSmart in the white pages and had just finished dialing the number when I realized I did not have on my reading glasses. I have been wearing reading glasses for 14 years and it is impossible for me to look up a name or a number because the print is just a blur. I was shocked to realize that my vision had been restored and now 3 months later, I still don’t need my glasses to use a phone book.

I really don’t understand how this came to pass. I can only guess that either because of the acidity in my body or the dehydration, or maybe a combination of both, had impaired my vision. I am a firm believer in this very healthy drinking water and I am convinced that because the human body is over 70% water, if given the best quality water.
